On Feb. 9, 1997, two hunters came across the partially frozen body of a Amber Gail "Aimee" Creek, 14, in a remote wooded area near the small town of Burlington. The young girl was wearing few clothes and had a black garbage bag wrapped around her head. She had been asphyxiated. She had been killed at an undisclosed location and then discarded in the woods.
